I'm having a tough time finding links to pro Wal-Mart websites. There is the Ludwig von Mises Institute made up of libertarians devoted to some Austrian economist that didn't get the Nobel Prize they thought he deserved. There is a story asking if Wal-Mart destroys communities, one about how Wal-Mart serves humanity and one about the union conspiracy against Wal-Mart workers. I don't care too much for most libertarian views and the devotion of faculty at The Mises Institute for a dead Austrian economist scares me a bit. More about them here. Note that the Southern Poverty Law Center has problems with The Mises Institute.
Then there is Working Families for Wal-Mart. Not really much information on their website but if you like Pat Boone you will love Working Families for Wal-Mart. This group apparently gets financial support from Wal-Mart.
UPDATE: Ok, Americansforwalmart here. Lots of information from a pro Wal-Mart organization. However, they admit that most of their facts are obtained from Walmartfacts.
Many of the general facts about Wal-Mart used in this section come from the company’s informational website, www.walmartfacts.com

Thanks for the excellent link to "Working Families for Wal-Mart"! I signed up for their newsletter and I am going to let all my friends in Saranac Lake know about it too. Thanks for the balanced and totally unbiased coverage of this contentious topic in Saranac Lake. I'm glad to see that you are such a caring individual and are in touch with the attitudes of the majority of residents who are struggling financally in this village. Maybe you can set up a bus system so those residents who cannot afford to shop here in town can be bussed out to Plattsburgh. Just like the way the Bush FEMA plan put poeple on busses out of New Orleans!
Dear anonymous, is there a point to your above post? If you know of better pro Wal-Mart links, send them too me please. My blog is obviously biased as you also appear to be. I really am concerned about your heart. You shouldn't let yourself get so upset by a blog almost no one is reading. I do thank you for checking in often though. Thanks.
I am surprised that ANY pro-Wal-Mart sites were even found!! This company has been in the news a lot lately, and NONE OF IT HAS BEEN ANY GOOD. But what can you expect when you treat your employees like crap, offer then UNAFFORDABLE health, coverage, squeeze your suppliers until they scream, and care about NOTHING EXCEPT PROFITS?
Wal-Marts foundational building blocks are finally beginning to crumble. Wonder who's going to end up picking up the pieces?
I actually did make an honest attempt to find pro Wal-Mart blogs. I agree, if they are out there, they are very difficult to find. There was the pro Wal-Mart blog at Alwayslowprices, but Wal-Mart made them take it down because they said the name of the blog infringed on their motto. It can't hurt to try and understand the other side of the issue.
Dear Anonymous,
First of all, a blog is just that, a blog. It's meant to be an opinion, not an unbiased news source. Though, is there any news source that is actually unbiased? I haven't found one.
Secondly, many of us who don't want Wal-mart here DO CARE about the residents who are struggling financially, WE are too, and that is exactly why we don't want Wal-mart! We want a store with prices that really are low, and a store where we can work for a decent wage and get benefits.
Don't let yourself be sucked in by the retail giant that has spent millions researching how to fool people.
