Schumer the first time I saw this letter.Adirondack Wal-Marthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08176410672347916003noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22195348.post-1140115838281639472006-02-16T13:50:00.000-05:002006-02-16T13:50:00.000-05:00A lot of people have been using this letter to sho...A lot of people have been using this letter to show that Schumer is pro Wal-Mart, but I don't think that's necessarily true. First of all, this letter is about 3 and a half years old. Second, does he know how much difference of opinion exists between the residents? It's quite possible that some pro Wal-Mart folks lobbied him for a Wal-Mart, so like a good representative he wrote the letter. Has anybody who either wants to limit Wal-Mart's size or is against it altogether written a letter to Schumer? I for one am going to do so and I'd encourage other New Yorkers to do so as well. I grew up in Saranac Lake and now live in Rochester, so he's still my representative and he's done wonderful things for Rochester. But Rochester isn't Saranac Lake and a 121,00 sq. ft. Wal-Mart is not what they (I still think in terms of "we") need up there. Short of that, I'll listen to any ideas!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
